Founded by a group of friends who grew up together on the same street, Ciudad Tribu brings a new sub-genre of ethnic rock to our ever evolving world of music.
Brothers Andrew and Yang Navarro grew up listening to different music genre - heavy metal and alternative. Until recently they got introduced to world music and developed much interest in playing and listening to the djembe. Joined by lead percussionist Albert Castro who originally played for a reggae band, and then the rest of their friends, the band Ciudad Tribu came about.
Seven out of ten members play different kinds of percussion instruments, bringing layer to layer of heart pumping drumbeats. With the eclectic sounds of indigenous instruments and heavy guitars combined, their music is a unique fusion of world, rock and reggae that is very unique and distinct. It brings together tribal rhythm and the modern sounds of the city.

Ciudad Tribu Message - The music and the lyrics is inspired with Patriotism, Love, Peace and Equality. we are all bound in the common fight for survival of our native cultures.. We must recognize the Solidarity, We all must share against injustice.

The band started to share the new genre to the underground music scene all over the metro, actively giving fresh performances at the local bars and events and continuously promoting nationalistic events, resolving conflicts within a society, and freedom of expression.
